About Apricots
- Firm, sweet flesh covered by a velvety skin
- Delicious, intense taste and aroma
- Choose carefully; ripe apricots are very delicate
Selecting
Look for plump, fairly firm fruit with a nice yellow-orange color. DOLE Apricots are picked just as they ripen, shipped in refrigerated containers and post-ripened at 20°C for two days after unloading – to ensure they arrive fresh, undamaged and ready for you to eat.
Storing
Eat ripe fruit immediately or store in your refrigerator for up to 2 days. If your apricots are still firm, keep them at room temperature until they yield to gentle pressing.
Eating
Handle carefully and avoid breaking the skin until you’re ready to enjoy your apricot. Wash well just before eating.
