"Fresh Kit" in Sweden

In Scandinavia, during 2006, Dole Dole introduced a health concept to a number of schools called "Fresh Kit" – an alternative to candy and soft drinks. Healthy products in the kit include DOLE Fruit Cocktails and DOLE Baby Carrots. Today the Fresh Kit is distributed to schools in up to 15 municipalities and districts around Sweden. Dole also developed several consumer health campaigns in partnership with its retailers.

The 2006 Tjejmilen

In Sweden, Dole supplied fruit to the annual women-only race "Tjemilen", which this year attracted 21,000 women from 14 nations.  During the event, 25,000 DOLE Bananas were consumed!

Fruit Bracelet Fever

During May and June 2006, it was Dole fever nationwide in Sweden! The message of the campaign: buy one DOLE product and get a cool blue bracelet for free! The campaign focused on bananas, pineapple and fruit cups, but also included mangos, apples and grapes. Although aimed mainly at children, the campaign also reminded adults to give healthier snacks to their kids.
