Since

Ever since VBH – Dole Antwerp was founded in 1994, we have concentrated on building the DOLE brand in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg (the Benelux).

Located in the port of Antwerp, right on the docks, we set up a ripening facility in 1998 to give our customers the best possible service and quality of bananas.

Activities

We are Dole’s selling and distribution unit for the Benelux countries.

With a ripening capacity of 20,000 boxes a week, bananas are our largest product in volume terms. Our second most important year-round product is the DOLE Tropical Gold Pineapple. In the last 3 years, we have steadily built up a customer base and reputation for this fantastic product.

We also sell seasonal Dole products (grapes, citrus and deciduous mostly from South Africa and Chile) and operate our own sourcing programs, in close cooperation with Dole France, from other parts of the world.

VBH – Dole Antwerp has also been the pioneer of organic and Fairtrade bananas within the Dole Europe organization.  In this category we have built up significant expertise.

We supply major wholesalers and supermarket chains throughout Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
