The JP Group was established in 1929 to market bananas in the UK. JP Fruit was the UK Marketing & Sales operation for Jamaican bananas. In October 2006, Dole Food Company, Inc. purchased 100% share of JP Fruit. The company was renamed JP Fresh Ltd and extended its role in the marketing of Fresh Produce. It is now named Dole Fresh UK.

Activities

Dole Fresh UK is engaged in the sourcing, marketing and distribution of fresh produce throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. We also ripen and distribute bananas from our own modern ripening centers that are rated amongst the largest and most technically advanced in Europe.

Dole Fresh UK has three ripening centers in the UK and uses 3rd Party operations for managing Citrus, Apples, Pears, Pineapples, and Melons.

Products: Bananas, Apples, Pears, Citrus -Oranges, Grapefruit, Lemons, easy peelers-, Pineapples, and Melons.

Source countries: Dole Fresh UK sources from around the world, and our bananas come from Central America, the Caribbean, and West Africa.

Customers

Dole Fresh UK supplies major wholesalers and supermarket chains in the UK. Wholesale markets are also serviced, as are the Foodservice Industry, Fruit Processors and the UK Government’s Fruit for School Scheme.
